We’re going to need more wipes.
We are still DEEP in the first weeks of the fourth trimester (12 weeks immediately following a birth) and have definitely been feeling “newborn fog” x2 because twins — AHH! While it still sometimes shocks me that we are twin parents, it feels amazing to know the journey we’ve been on.
One day we’ll recount what it took and why we ended up back in the states so much sooner than we expected, but for now, the days are still mixing together and our older boys are the only ones truly getting any sleep around here. Despite all the shifts and changes, one thing that remains the same; we always, always need more wipes.
In Motherhood, we quickly learn the importance of wipes and having something on hand to clean up the inevitable. Baby wipes, flushable wipes, paper towels with soap and water, a shirt or sleeve— however and whatever they are to you, they are always necessary. No matter how big or small the mess, having a plan for what you’d do if you needed them is a good idea. It’s the same in life. You’re going to need something to clean the spill. Whatever the mess you may have, no matter how big or small, I implore you to find your equivalent of a wipe. For me, it’s a calm Sunday morning, a hot cup of coffee, or meeting with our community in fellowship to share in the Good News. Sometimes you just need more wipes.
